IT's COMING .....A cycling event for the whole family!
The National Cycling Relay travels across the country from August 14 to September 5, 2010. Cyclebetes Family Bike Festivals will run in tandem with the relay at 8 major centers on the route. Each festival will feature community rides, one for kids, one for families and one for elite recreational riders.
There will be bbq's, an obstacle course for kids, safety stations and bike drills, entertainment , music and more. "Last year we noticed that mom's and kids were waiting at the 100km elite ride finish line for the cycling dads. They would have bikes with them wanting to share in the cycling fun and spirit. This year we created The Cyclebetes Family Bike Festivals, an exciting event for the whole family. It's a great opportunity for families to get out and get moving together", states Cheryl Wilson-Stewart Cyclebetes Community Awareness Co-ordinator.
Cyclebetes Family Bike Festivals will be held in Halifax, Moncton, Ottawa, Alliston, Mississauga, Brandon, Calgary, Vancouver, and Victoria. For details and to register: Choose you city above
