I am a participant in the Relay or School Spin-a-thon and I was wondering how I collect and submit donations made to me by cash or cheque?

 

Receiving donations by cash or cheque is totally fine. You collect the donations and keep them in a safe place. Make sure you use the pledge sheet included in the National Teams Kit. Please provide complete contact information including full name, address, and postal code for each donor so we can mail them a tax receipt.

 

Convert your cash into cheques using a personal chq or a bank draft at your bank, and sent in your cheques and pledge sheet to:

 

Make sure you inform your donors to make cheques out to '4 What Matters Foundation'. Also make sure you include your own name and what Cyclebetes Event you are involved in so that we can ensure this amount is added to your online profile

 

How do my friends and family or local business's donate money towards my personal fundraising goal?

 

There are two ways to do this:

1. They can donate money directly to you in the form of cash, cheque, or credit card. You will fill in their details on the pledge sheet that is provided to you in your National Team Kit where you send into 4WM.

2. The best and easiest option for others to make donations towards your goal is for them to donate directly through your online profile. They can get this link either from yourself, or they can go to www.4whatmatters.com and search your name.

 

CANADA & UNITED STATES

 

Canadian tax receipts will be issued by the 4 What Matters Foundation (Canada) on all CYCLEBETES contributions $20.00 and over.

 

Donations made in Canada can only be issued Canadian tax receipts.  US donations are appreciated, but must be made to a US charitable organization in order to receive a US tax receipt.
