Diabetes is growing at an alarming rate. It is projected to be at epidemic proportions in the very near future. Canada has the third highest occurrence rate in the world. Two hundred thousand Canadians have Type One diabetes-most of them children. It's time for a cure.
The Cyclebetes goal is to find a cure for diabetes through increased awareness and donations to the diabetes research, while promoting health and fitness to all Canadians and building strong values in today's youth.

Cyclebetes is committed to transformational living and to leaving the world free of diabetes within this lifetime. We are an international organization touching the lives of 5,000,000 people.
Cyclebetes specializes in High School, Elementary, & Corporate Spin-a-thons, a National Cycling Relay, Community Rides as part of the National Relay, and Street Team speaking engagements; all of which target school faculty & students, diabetic families, organizations who want to make a community difference within the health, wellness and leadership arena, and community cyclists of all levels.
Cyclebetes is a cutting edge team who inspire people to grow, be healthy and stay creative. We are dedicated to empowering people to live their best lives as a demonstration of what's possible in the face of any circumstance.
A Promise for a Cure.
Type 1 diabetes is devastating
On average type 1 shortens life by 15 years.
Diagnosis is most common in youth between 5 and 9, however, adolescence and adult cases of type 1 diabetes are on the increase.
Type 1 diabetics live with more than 1500 needle pricks a year just to stay alive - but this is not a cure - there is no cure.
There are 246 million people worldwide with type 1 diabetes - most of them are children.
This number is expected to rise to 380 million by 2025.
